1) Metadata migration: Implementation of Teamcenter Engineering or Express and transfer of I-deas
TDM metadata and functionality to Teamcenter and Teamcenter Integration for I-deas (TCII).

2) Content migration: Migration of I-deas data and functionality to NX within the context of Teamcenter.

Stage 1 is the first stage of the overall migration to NX. In this stage, I-deas TDM metadata and functionality will be migrated to Teamcenter and the Teamcenter Integration for I-deas (TCII). A proper execution of stage 1 activities by a certified migration specialist is critical to ensure the quality and integrity of the metadata and content migration and success of the overall migration.

Metafore offers 3 proven service packages to help you to analyze, plan and perform the migration. Each of these packages can be tailored to meet your specific business needs.

Migration Planning and Preparation
Metafore migration experts will assist you with the proper planning and preparation of all aspects of the migration. Included in this activity are the analysis of existing I-deas and TDM data and configuration, the creation of a detailed, realistic project plan, the education of management and key stakeholders about the migration process and value as well as the creation of a detailed management report containing information about the actual migration tasks, required effort, schedule and costs.

TDM2TC Installation and Mentoring
Metafore migration experts will install and configure a fully functioning pilot environment of Teamcenter Engineering or Express including Teamcenter Integration for I-deas (TCII). Then a previously selected, representative sample of existing I-deas and TDM data will be migrated to the new environment using our exclusive, proven teaching/mentoring approach. The objective of this approach is to transfer all required knowledge to the migration team so that the customer can subsequently perform the bulk of the migration independently and at their own pace. To assist the migration team in this effort, Metafore includes ongoing phone support in this activity.

TDM2TC Production Migration
Metafore migration experts will install and configure a fully functioning production environment of Teamcenter Engineering or Express, including Teamcenter Integration for I-deas, and perform the migration of all data and functionality from TDM to Teamcenter.

In this stage the I-deas files will be converted to NX within the context of Teamcenter Engineering or Express using the proven Content Migration Manager (CMM) tool. A proper execution of stage 1 by a certified migration specialist is critical to ensure the successful outcome of this stage and the overall
I-deas to NX migration.

Ideas2NX Installation and Mentoring
Metafore migration experts will install and configure a fully functioning pilot environment of NX.
